For Sale AeroStitch Suit $400 You all remember Jim Ayres fondly, I’m sure. Well here’s his signature bright red Roadcrafter suit for sale. It’s a Men’s Aerostitch Roadcrafter one-piece suit, size 44, red with orange flashes, padding at elbows, hips, knees, backbone, shoulders, water resistant for serious riding in the rain (I have worn one for entire days on long distance trips without getting wet inside.) This is not a warm suit; it works on the layering principle and provides only the outermost layer of protection. One long zipper from neck to heel, zippers at hips, wrists, legs, back and underarms for venting on hot days, closes up tight with adjustments at neck, wrists, and ankles for rain and cold. Pockets: internal one, two breast pockets, one wrist pocket, two hip/thigh pockets. Jim loved the suit style enough to buy this second suit when he outgrew the first! It’s designed with slightly longer legs for his 6’2” height, and is roomy enough (heck he was only size 40) for lots and lots of layers. Jim really only had a chance to wear the suit on two long trips. Unfortunately, I haven’t washed it from the last trip, so the bugs are free. Size 44 (Jim Ayres owned it) with lots of room for layers, the coat can be worn with its liner zipped in, without the liner, and also without the outer waterproof coat piece for a lighter jacket for super hot days. It has a detachable collar, the liner which can be worn by itself, an extra vest that can be worn by itself, and a bag to carry all the detachable bits. It is navy blue with a couple of tiny flashes for visibility, and has integral elbow and back padding. Somewhere in my closet I have pants to go with the jacket which I’ll throw in. Bright blue with silver flashes at legs and shoulders, padding at elbows, shoulders, knees; light sensitive flashes at breast and centre back for visibility. This is super water resistant (I have worn it for entire rain days on long distance trips without getting wet inside). One long zipper from neck to heel, zippers at hips, wrists, legs, back and underarms to provide really flexible venting on hot days, and it closes up tight on cold and rainy days with adjustments at wrists, neck and ankles. Have moved on to a new one (and larger unfortunately), so this one is still in excellent condition with many more years of riding in it. Shoulder, back and elbow pads. Underarm zippers for venting. The jacket is designed with a full zipper covered in two layers of water resistant fabric to seal out wind and rain. Pockets at breast and hips and internal one. The jacket can be fitted snugly with waist cincher and velcro at hips. The back is slightly longer than the front, ideally suited for the cyclist’s lean. In very good condition, used generally for short city trips and a couple of long trips, but the young lady grew out of it. Also available, either thrown in with the jacket or separately for $50, First Gear motorcycle pants size 30, full zippers from waist to ankle, domed covers, black, double closer at waist zipper for weather proofing, padding at hips and knees.
